Rachael Fritzsche

Assistant Jr Camp Director

Rachael grew up in Kansas with an insatiable love for the outdoors — biking, swimming, crafts, backpacking — if it was outside, she was in. A lifelong Girl Scout since kindergarten, the organization shaped her love of adventure, community, and learning that has carried through everything she does.

After college, Rachael worked as a private nanny and discovered her true calling: showing kids the incredible things nature has to offer and proving that getting dirty is half the fun. That passion took her to camps across the country over the next decade — as a Program Aide at Hidden Valley Girl Scout Camp, an Out-Island Mate at BSA Florida Sea Base, and Program Director for both Girl Scouts of Montana/Wyoming and Girl Scouts of Western Washington.

During the school year, Rachael serves as Program Director of Three Oaks Outdoor Science School in California, where over four years she has earned her Environmental Educator Certification through CAEOE and completely redesigned the school's environmental education curriculum with a focus on Experiential Learning and Conservation.

Each summer, she brings all of that energy and expertise to Ajax Adventure Camp and Ajax Jr. Camp — and she couldn't be more stoked about it.
