Growing up in New England, Jamie has always had a deep love for the outdoors. She started attending camps at the age of 7 and got her first job at one when she was 15. It wasn’t long into her first summer on staff that she realized she’d found what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. After graduating from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Science and Recreation with a concentration in Youth Leadership, Jamie spent four years moving around the country from North Carolina to California to Alaska and everywhere in between working at YMCAs, Outdoor Schools, and Guiding companies. Like so many, Jamie first moved to Aspen for the skiing, but after her first summer at Ajax Adventure Camp she couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. She can’t wait for another AWESOME summer filled with rock climbing, spaghetti tennis, human bocce, iron chef camp outs, and whatever other adventures may come!
Jamie’s lifelong goal of directing a sleepaway camp has come to fruition in 2017, as she takes the helm as the Ajax Adventure Ranch Camp director.
