Carolina Martinez

program Director

Carolina grew up in Southern California, where camping with her family was a way of life. Surrounded by Joshua Trees and sweeping views of the San Bernardino Mountains, she developed a deep love for the outdoors that has guided her ever since. After earning her degree, she followed that passion straight to the mountains — and has spent the past decade working at camps throughout the San Bernardinos, teaching kids archery, arts & crafts, astronomy, orienteering, hiking, and overnight camping.

For the past four years, Carolina has served as Assistant Director of Three Oaks Outdoor Science School, an overnight, week-long program that brings 5th and 6th graders out of the classroom and into nature to explore environmental and life science firsthand. Since 2024, she has brought that same energy and expertise to Ajax Adventure Camp — and every camper quickly learns to love her legendary "Goooooooooooooood morning!"
