Refund Policy

Deposit

Your 2017 deposit is fully refundable minus a $75 processing fee if requested in writing by May 14 2017. Since we hire staff and purchase equipment and supplies based upon our enrollment numbers generated throughout the winter and spring, any cancellations after May 14 will not be given a refund. We want to work with you to accommodate requests, so for any cancellations after May 14 we are happy to give you a credit to apply to the 2017 summer or the 2018 summer (credits cannot be exchanged for cash and will become void after the summer of 2017). Furthermore, please see our refund policy regarding the full payment and our ‘Fun Guarantee’ for further details regarding refund policies. We reserve the right to grant exceptions to the stated policy in situations including, but not limited to, illness and death in the immediate family. Changes in travel plans, delayed or cancelled flights, or other such reasons for not attending camp will not qualify for a refund.

Full Payment

The remainder of your payment is due the first day that your child attends camp. If after 2 days of attendance, your child wishes not to return to camp, you will be refunded for the prorated amount of the remainder of the child’s enrollment cost. For example, if you purchased a 10-day pass, and after two days your child chooses he/she does not want to return, you will be refunded for the remaining 8 days. We are confident that every camper will have a great time at camp; and, therefore offer this ‘Fun Guarantee.’ This only applies after the second day of camp attendance because often there is a slight adjustment period for the camper that lasts more than a single day.

There are no refunds for campers expelled for inappropriate behavior. Inappropriate behavior includes bringing any weapon to camp, fighting, use of illegal drugs or alcohol, smoking, illegal use of fire, vandalism, stealing, repeatedly displaying an uncooperative attitude or disrespect for others, and any other action that in the directors’ opinion threatens the health, safety, or well-being of any person or animal, or the smooth operation of the Camp. The ‘Fun Guarantee’ does not apply to campers who are expelled for inappropriate behavior.

Optional Activities

There are several activities that require Ajax Adventure Camp to hire outside companies. Currently, this includes rafting and paintball.  All optional activities are subject to a minimum and maximum signup requirement and to weather and water conditions. If more campers sign up than the outfitters have room or for which we have transportation, children will be permitted to attend on a first-come, first-served basis (i.e., when the camper signed up for the activity). If there is no space for your child on rafting or paintball trip, then you will receive a refund. If a trip is terminated early due to weather, fire or other conditions beyond our control, there will be no refunds. Any unused optional activity add-on credits, subject to the above, will be refunded. Such unused add-on credit refunds will be made within 30 days of the end of camp.
